General settings

Everything that applies to the whole community (name, description, domain, Google Analytics, access control, features, sales notices, SEO, colors and images), where each one lives and who can change it.

Administration › Settings gathers everything that applies to the whole community. Only the owner and admins can open this screen. See Roles and permissions.

Don't change the Domain without agreeing it with the Memberfy team: the community will only answer at the new address, and that address has to be pointed first.

SEO Meta Tags, Colors and Images

  • Images and SEO: logo, favicon, social media image, title, description and keywords.
  • Colors: the primary color and the button color.

Each block has its own Save Changes: save one before moving on to the next.

Step by step: connect Google Analytics

Role: owner or admin.

  1. In Google Analytics, create a GA4 property and copy the Measurement ID (G-…).
  2. Settings › General › General Settings, paste it into Google Analytics ID.
  3. Save Changes. Visits start showing up in your Analytics.

Examples

A school with a storefront. Name Excel School, description "Excel from basic to advanced, with lessons, live sessions and a class for your questions", open sign-up, ranking on, Google Analytics to measure the storefront.

A company's internal community. Closed sign-up, guests off, ranking on for the culture, sales notices empty (there are no sales).

Frequently asked questions

Can a moderator change the settings? No. Settings belong to the owner and admins.

Does changing the name change the address? No. The address is the domain.

Can I use a tracker other than Google Analytics? From the screen, only Google Analytics.
